I picked Ben up at about 10:30 this morning. We went to the movies to see Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby. I highly suggest that you see it. It's the funniest movie I've seen in quite a long time. After the movie we got lunch, then wandered around Kmart to kill time. He had an eye appointment at 3 so at about 2:45 we just went over there and sat in my van. He went in when his mom got there.

He's going on vacation until the 12th. This is going to suck.

Had my first day at Allstate yesterday. It's not too bad, just a little overwhelming at first. I can tell that me working is going to be a pain in the ass though. Dealing with Dad, working around my schedule to see Ben.. it's nothing too huge, just that Ben's swim meets are usually Tuesday and Thursday, and that's when I work. I'll figure something out.

I got a job at an insurance firm. I start Tuesday. The guy straight up told me
"Telemarketing is really a terrible job, so we try to pay pretty good."

I also got a car, apparently. Tami was just going to give her Explorer away, so my dad offered to buy it for me. That works, I guess.

I got my hair cut. I really like it. I was going to take pictures but I'm terrible at taking them of myself. I'll probably ask Ben to do it later.

Going to a 50th wedding anniversary thing for the Dingle's at the church I used to go to; my mom grew up with their daughter. That's at 3.

I need to get more page protectors for band, I think I'm just going to make a separate notebook for drill. I realized yesterday there was something else I need from WalMart, and I'm upset because I can't remember at all what it is. I hate forgetting things.

I woke up yesterday with a sore ankle. It didn't really bother me but when I woke up today.. ugh. I don't remember twisting it or anything, but it's bruised and annoyingly painful.

I'm testing for my license again on the 8th. Either I pass or have to get another permit. I'm really hoping I don't fail again. Twice is bad enough.

I desperately need to find something to do during the day. Sitting around here all the time is beginning to drive me crazy. I'm pretty sure I need to get a job.

Megan and I went to Empire at 12 for our appointment. We were there for 4 hours. It was crazy. Not too bad though. When we were done she dropped me off at home. I didn't want to get ready right away but I got antsy and had nothing else to do. It didn't take me all that long. After that I waited around for about half an hour. Tami got here, left, came back with Alexza. Ben got here soon after. My parents took a bunch of pictures. Then his parents got here and did the same. His parents stayed to talk with mine for a while, and Alexza, Tami, Ben and I left for dinner.

I wanted to go to McDonalds, but apparently that's not prom appropriate. So we went to 33 East. It was the four of us plus Kay, Matt, Ashley and her boyfriend, Leslie, Latasha, Calvin and Chelsea. It was pretty fun. We acted like asses. After all of that we walked over to prom. It was nice. Danced a little bit, talked to people. Tami left after a short time. She missed seeing Mandy and Alicia fall. Hah. It seemed really short.. maybe just because we showed up late. I don't know. Regardless, it was a good fucking time.

Ben and I went to Blockbuster and rented Waiting. Then we stopped at his house so he could change. Drove to my house, wached the movie. We stayed up until about 4 when my dad made me go to bed.

I woke up at 9:30. It was weird. I woke Ben up a little after 10. He left not too long after that because he had to stop home before work.

That's about it.

I hate when I forget to update for this long of a time. I don't remember anything that's been going on, and it ends up being a pointless entry. I'll try it anyway.

Yesterday was really amazing. I spent the entire day with Ben. We saw The DaVinci Code last night. I enjoyed it. The book was better, but it was really a good film.

Ms. Moore called on Thursday. She forgot to tell my class period what chapters to read, and she wanted us to know. I thought it was nice of her.

Drum Major auditions were Wednesday. They could have gone a lot worse. A lot of rumors are going around about me on that subject. There's nothing I can do. I know I didn't do anything wrong, and everyone else can fuck off. =]

I can't remember anything beyond that, really. This is why I hate not updating. Ben and I hang out a lot, I still love naps.. yeah.

Today Megan and I are going to the mall to shop for prom stuff. I'm not anticipating prom very much. I don't think I realize how soon it is.

Scott wants to take me to the house of a friend of his tonight. There's a prom afterparty and he wants to get me wasted. I haven't decided yet if I'm going.

I have softball practice tomorrow from 2-4. Finally.

I need to get Late Registration by Kanye West. I've been saying this for quite a while now, but I really do.

Dad called me outside a few minutes ago. I guess there'd been a toad living at the bottom of the basement steps for a couple of weeks now. Scott was too scared of it to get it, (I get teased for hating spiders?) and I hadn't been home. I walked down to get it; it was pretty damn big. I'm thinking it ate all the spiders down there that I'd failed to kill. It was so cute. I took it outside the yard so the dogs wouldn't get it. I went to put it down under the camper, and it held on to me when I tried to let it go. It made me really happy.

Life is going so good. I'm happier than I've been in quite a long time. Even indoor's not too terrible anymore. Wildwood next week.. I'm looking forward to it. Going is exciting. Being gone for 4 days is not.
